I was looking into getting this bag for for a few months but wasn't sure I wanted to spend what they were asking for it, on just a golf bag.

I wanted something that had plenty of storage room, was well balanced for carrying and was sturdy and durable.

I found this bag to be all those things and more.

The first thing I noticed about the bag was the abundance of room.

The pockets are very roomy. The large pocket on the side easily fits your rain-wear and a spare pair of shoes. It's a little bit of a squeeze but it can be done. The smaller pocket down near the base is, again, quite large and easily holds as many balls as you see fit, or need, during the course of play. There is a smaller, lined pocket which is ideal for jewelery or other items you don't want to get damaged while you're out playing. There is a plastic-lined pocket ideal for items you want to keep cool and/or dry. The netted pocket is handy for keeping those things that you need more frequently, ie. score-card and pen and can be stretched to accommodate a sports bottle, if required.

The bag has the dual strap which makes carrying easy and balances the bag evenly over both shoulders. I'm not the tallest nor strongest person but I found I could fair well carrying this bag. Adjustments can be made, too, depending on how you like to carry and balance the bag.

The inside of the bag is lined which adds protection to your shafts. The inside is also partitioned however after much use, I found this ripped and I ending up cutting it out. After doing so, the clubs became a little jam-packed down at the grips. This, I found, is only evident in certain positions if put it on a pull cart.

The stand is strong and in the 12+ months I've had it, not once has it looked like failing. The only thing I wish they could invent on these type of bags is a system by which the stand won't pop out, a locking mechanism of sorts. I have found when traveling and packing it into a travel case, the stand still pops up and I often wonder if the legs will survive the flight. They have, but still, it's something I wish the manufacturers would consider.

I have the dark green bag and again, in the 12+ months that I've had, it doesn't look old or even faded. I'm a regular golfer and practice often too, so it's subjected to the sun quite often. I have found, other colors do fade more quickly. So, maybe, that's an option you should consider when buying.

I bought this bag because:

1)I wanted a really wide shoulder strap configuration.
2) I was using Titleist irons/balls/driver at the time. Call me a lame wannabee-endorser!
3) I found it way way cheap on E-bay.

I saw this bag at Golfsmith and like I usually do, I price stuff on E-bay first and see if I can get it for cheap. Wouldn't you know it, I found it for $40 less than Golfsmith wanted and bought it.

I really liked the shoulder strap configuration. The straps are quite wide (about 3.5" where they go around your shoulders) and that really helps distribute the weight of the bag on your back.

The construction is really quite good. The bag is made of some heavy-duty nylon and even after about 100 rounds, lots of practice and in-and-out of trunks and two trips on airplanes this bag has not failed.

The pockets are fantastic. The ball pocket is accessible when you have the bag on your back so that you can reach in and grab a ball to drop when you can't find yours in the woods (just kidding, I *never* break the rules!!). It can accommodate probably 20 golf balls easily. Not that you'd want to schlep that kind of weight but if you need them the space is there.

On the "spine" of the bag are two small pockets. The top is lined with velour material so I throw my wallet and watch in there so they don't get scratched. Beneath that is another pocket similar in size that is nylon-lined and my tees go in there. Probably 200 tees will fit. There is a stretchy mesh pocket perfect for most water bottles.

The big pocket is HUGE, and accommodates a full rainsuit with no problem. Even cooler is the small pocket lined with soft plastic almost that you could stick icky wet stuff in such as sweated on golf gloves or even wet socks.

There is plenty of space for 14 golf clubs. The dividers are graphite-friendly, covered in velour.

My only gripes with the bag are that it isn't the lightest bag out there, but for the storage space and the larger straps I find it fine for carrying 18 holes. I could probably pull 36 with it, but it might get heavy the more tired you get.

Second, it is kind of an oval shape and putting it on a cart seems to spin the bag one way or the other around so you can't get to one side's pockets very easily. You can take the straps off the bag so they're not in the way, which is a nice convenience feature.

If you can find this bag for under $120, I would say investigate it, but don't pay any more for it than that.
