beldings balance pro is not so professionel
Pluss: Easy to carry. Pouch for valuables.
Minus: Durability, price, plugs come out of the stand, warranty, customer service

Now my model is very similar to this one but its supposed to be better because its the "balance pro". I will however write about this bag any way, since they pretty much have the seem features (i think the pro has a bigger cool pouch and the pockets on the sport are slitley different.)
At first it was a great bag; with all its convenient features. Lots of roomy pockets, a special velvet/suede like pouch for valuables, a good strap carryin system and the club deviders seemed logical.
The legs on this bag are made out of some kind of metal, compared to most other golfbags which have plastic legs. The only problem i had with this bag was that the rubber plugs came out. Since this was not such a big deal it did not effect the overall performance too much (only when put on concrete, they went out very far).
The strap carrying system is very comfortable and makes carrying your bag for 18 holes more "enjoyable". To my supprise and utter disapointment when i was on the golfcourse the one strap detached from the bag, and i had to carry it under my arm for the rest of the round. And this was only after about 4 months of use. And for 120 dollars i would expect something like this not happen. Where I play golf the strap is the most essential part of a carry bag or is it not? Now since the warranty only covers the bag for a year (i had bought it 2 years ago but only used it for about 4 months, 20-30 times)They told me it would cost 50 dollars plus s&h to fix it. 50 dollars to reatach a strap to a bag? i was really bummed when they told me this because to get it fixed this whole bag would have cost me 170 dollars. 50 dollars is have a bag! And reataching a strap to a bag? Get real....
Now this is not sour grapes or anything, maybe i just got a lemon, but for 120 dollars i demand more quality & durability .
What you might find appealing about this bag is its ergonimcal strap system and its design. I think if Belding would fix a few flaws in design and durability and change their customer policy they would have a winner on their hands...

The Luxuries of golf!
Pluss: Lightweight, style, durability, and you can't leave out the built in cooler.
Minus: Plugs on stand can come out, but nothing a little glue can't fix.

A one-strapped bag with a stand is what I have used for quite some time now. But that bag was slowly coming to its end. The bag had given me some good years. Taking all kinds of abuse. But now if you look at it you can tell that its life is hanging on by a couple of strands...literally. So comes the task of finding another to replace the one legged bag.
Well first I ruled out a cart bag, for a number of reasons. One reason is that I have carried my bag for six years. Why break tradition right? Another reason is how dirty they seem to get after a round. Especially when the course is damp or wet. The pull carts just suck up all the mud and grass shavings on the course. When the bag is put in your car, it brings half the course with it. Carry bags don't have this problem. They set on the ground about the same amount of times you hit the ball. I have gotten very muscular from picking this bag up so many times. That is beside the point though. Your not dragging the bag on the ground so it doesn't acquire all the mud and grass shavings the cart bag does. A carry bag it is.
I had all the options in the world from the first time I bought a bag. A sucker bottle bag, by Taylor Made, that has a hose coming out of the bag where you can put pop, beer, or some juice in. To a bag that no matter how high you dropped it from, the Ping Hoofer, still stood up by kicking its stand out. My eyes for some reason or another was drawn to this dark green color bag with double straps.
The Belding Quadshock for 109.99. I inspected further and found a snap on rain cover, a jewelry pocket, and the best thing on it a built in cooler. Of course you can't fit a twelve pack in there, but a couple of drinks in cans will fit nicely. The stand was actually a part of the bottom of the bag. Not one of those bags that has the stand protruding out of the bottom of the bag, and seems to hit everything. The stand had hard legs that could definitely take some abuse. Something I am sure I will end up giving its fair share of. The double strap is what will really be a great benefit. Padding connects the two straps to each other that then both continue to have a good amount of padding too. It reminded me of when your in high school or junior high and you put on your back-pack to go to school. The bag has a big spot on the spot where your back will come in contact with it. So that you don't have to deal with the bag banging off your back, there is a handle on the bottom of the bag you can grab. If anything else this bag is worth it just to look at.
This bag eliminates the one thing most golfers end up doing on the course. That is starting out on hole number one with the one strapped bag on your shoulder. It stays there for a couple of holes, but eventually you always have to give your one shoulder a break and switch to the other. So what happens is you get one shoulder hurting from the weight to applying it to the other shoulder. By the end of the round you wish you would have had a caddy. The double strap balances the weight on both shoulders so you don't have this problem. It makes it easier on each shoulder and your back.
If you hate to switch shoulders during the round because of the weight on your shoulder, then try out a double strapped bag. One such as this bag the Belding Quadshock that I love. It is lightweight to begin with but the double strap only adds to the luxuries of carrying your bag. Style and design make this bag worthwhile.
